Fostering Connections Through Kai

At Cater Plus Foundation, we believe in showing up for our communities—especially in times of need. When the covid lockdown forced some kitchens Cater Plus operate to temporarily close, the incredible team didn’t sit still. Instead, they rolled up their sleeves, put on their aprons, and got to work in the kitchen.

Over eight weeks, our team prepared and packaged more than 5,000 meals for families and individuals facing hardship, working alongside the amazing people at Otara Kai Village. These meals became part of Kai packages for the elderly and were also distributed through Drive-Through Thursday, ensuring people could access food safely and contactless.

The power of community is at the heart of everything we do, and we couldn’t have done this alone. Huge thanks to Bidfood for their support in making this happen. It’s partnerships like these that allow us to extend our impact and make a real difference.

We love the work that Otara Kai Village is doing, and we’re proud to have been part of this initiative. If you haven’t already, check them out on Instagram at @otara_kai_village and see how they continue to serve their community.
